  • Stents designed for deployment into the eustachian tube to maintain patency of the passage. These devices typically consist of a hollow, plastic, flanged tube that conforms to the inner contour of the eustachian tube; temporary stents are frequently made of biodegradable materials and may be capable of eluting a drug.
