Chambers designed to hold and encase microarray slides, providing a constant humidity environment during hybridization procedures performed in either hybridization incubators or less frequently in water baths. These devices typically consist of a reusable metallic (e.g., stainless steel) or plastic chamber with capacity for one or more slides (e.g., 10); they typically include a chamber top and a chamber bottom; the chamber also may include single-use consumables such as backings, septa, and gaskets (e.g., O-rings). Microarray hybridization chambers are available for use in hybridization incubators (airtight) or in water baths (water-tight).
