Middle-ear curettes used in surgical procedures performed under the microscope. These curettes are typically very slender, handheld, manual instruments with sharp 1 to 2 mm diameter edges at the working end, straight or curved shafts, and a fine handle. Dedicated microsurgical middle-ear curettes are available in single- and double-ended configurations for use in stapedectomy, tympanoplasty, and myringoplasty microsurgical procedures.
