  • Heart (cardiac) surgical scissors designed to cut cardiac tissue in minimal-access procedures. These scissors are typically handheld, manual instruments with two metallic (e.g., stainless steel) straight, razor-like, very sharp blades that slide past each other (i.e., shearing action), making possible smooth cutting even of calcified tissue.
