Glove boxes that combine the capabilities of isolation and containment glove boxes. These boxes typically are capable of maintaining negative pressure to perform processes in which it is necessary to protect the operator and/or environment (i.e., as a containment glove box) from exposure to hazardous or toxic materials and positive pressure (i.e., as an isolation glove box) to protect the processed product from the operator and/or the external environment. Isolation/containment glove boxes have multiple applications in clinical laboratories and pharmacies (e.g., toxic drug manipulations, radiopharmaceutical handling).
