Controllers designed to regulate the performance of a chromatography system from a single point. These controllers may control each of the modules (e.g., columns, detectors) of a chromatography system from a centralized control point; controllers typically can identify each component, control the transfer of samples between modules, and display the status of the system using dedicated software. Chromatography system controllers are intended to facilitate performance of automated chromatography tests with fewer errors in the procedure; they can interact with a laboratory information system by receiving and/or sending information.
