Dental crown prostheses designed to restore a tooth by fitting around the remains of the tooth and covering the entire natural crown surface, supported by a metallic post inserted into the root canal (i.e., post artificial crowns) so that the patient cannot remove them. These prostheses are typically custom-made devices made of cast metal alloys (e.g., steel, gold) that may be covered by resin or porcelain. Post complete dental crown prostheses are mounted on a metallic post (i.e., the metallic part or core of the post that protrudes from the root canal) that is cemented into the root canal.
