Masks designed to aid in oxygenation and ventilation of pediatric patients weighing between 7 and 35 kg (15.4 to 77 pounds), and used in conjunction with pulmonary or cardiopulmonary resuscitation devices. These masks are constructed of rubber or plastic material and include a flexible rim to maintain an adequate seal around the nose and mouth during positive pressure ventilation. Resuscitator masks are connected through a hose to the resuscitator; they are intended to deliver air, oxygen, or a mixture of the two to the patient. Pediatric resuscitator masks are designed as either disposable or reuseable units.
