Masks designed to aid in oxygenation and ventilation of infant patients weighing up to 7 kg (15.4 lbs), and used in conjunction with pulmonary or cardiopulmonary resuscitation devices. These masks are constructed of rubber or plastic material and include a flexible rim to maintain an adequate seal around the nose and mouth during positive pressure ventilation. Resuscitator masks are connected through a hose to the resuscitator; they are intended to deliver air, oxygen, or a mixture of the two gases to the patient. Infant resuscitator masks are designed as either disposable or reuseable units.
