Powered equipment designed to deliver a turbulent water supply to a whirlpool bath and/or some therapeutic swimming pools. This equipment (i.e., a turbine) typically consists of an electric motor and a rotatory mechanism that provide s a turbulent (jet) flow of water inside the bath or pool. The turbine also includes controls for the water flow rate and /or temperature; it is usually mounted on a fixed post close to the whirlpool bath. Whirlpool turbines are a main component of a whirlpool bath installation used to provide hydrotherapy.
