Respiratory function mechanics analyzers designed to measure the patency of the nasal conducts using acoustic reflection. These analyzers include a tube with an appropriate nose tip, a sound source, microphones to pick up the emitted and reflected sounds, filters, a wave tube that matches the diameter of the nose, and a computerized unit using dedicated software to process the measured data and display and/or record a nasal patency graph. Acoustic reflectometry nasal respiratory analyzers are used to assess the patency of the nasal tract during screening and/or diagnostic procedures.
