  • Adult respiratory function mechanics analyzers designed to determine the resistance of the nasal passages to breathing by measuring the volume and airflow through the nasal passages including the partition of airflow between the two nasal passages. These analyzers typically consist of a measuring unit and appropriate tubes and nasal adapters that permit the independent measure of the volume of air breathed from each side of the nose; usually the ratio of the two volumes as a measure of the difference between the air passage is calculated (i.e., a nasal partitioning ratio, NPR).
