Ophthalmic implants designed to stretch and support the eye\'s capsular bag. These flexible implants are open-ended plastic rings approximately 10-13 mm in diameter. The rings expand slightly once they are implanted. Surgeons can insert the rings manually or with a plunger inserter system. Capsular rings are intended to stabilize intraocular lens implants and reduce posterior chamber opacification during and/or after cataract surgery.
