Amalgam restorative dental materials in capsule form designed to be used as metallic fillings for in situ restoration of the appearance, structure and/or function of a patient\'s teeth. These amalgam restorative dental materials consist of a mixture of liquid mercury and high compressive strength alloys whose main constituents are silver, tin, and copper. The metal powder and mercury are contained in appropriate portions but separated in the capsule. The user activates the capsule thereby mixing the contents.
