Loupes designed to be worn close to the practitioner\'s eyes to provide stereo-optic (i.e., binocular) visual magnification of the patient during medical examinations or procedures. Binocular loupes are fitted with two sets of lenses, each as small as 1/2 inches (12.7 mm) or less, that can be attached to headbands or eyeglasses worn by the health practitioner. Adjustable parameters include magnification, optics, working distance, mounting options, and illumination. Optional lights can be added to the binocular loupes. Binocular loupes are used by specialists such as ophthalmologists, surgeons, dermatologists, and dentists.
