Service/utility carts designed with an open structure that includes wire shelves and/or baskets but does not include enclosures or drawers. These carts are intended for temporary storing and local transportation, usually confined to a particular area of a healthcare facility. These carts consist of a tubular structure made of metal, plastic, or a combination of these materials; the structure is mounted on medium or large (e.g., 7.5 cm/3 in or more in diameter) wheels that are usually an integral part of the cart. Wire open service/utility carts are mainly intended for products large enough to avoid sliding out through the wire structure and that do not require any special transportation conditions.
