Cement that is a glass-ionomeric, hydrophilic, osteoconductive, and biocompatible material used in otology. It comprises cement powder and liquid ingredients (such as autologous blood and antibiotics). It is intended for otologic procedures such as middle-ear reconstruction; to cement bone grafts, stapes prostheses, or cochlear implant electrodes; or to attach implantable hearing aid devices.
