Exploratory probes designed for introduction into the throat and through the larynx and that are intended mainly for exploratory purposes. These probes typically consist of very slender flexible metal or plastic cylinders, either straight or angled, and can be passed through the larynx. These devices may be attached to a handle at the proximal end; the probes can be flexible or rigid. Microlaryngeal exploratory probes are intended for exploring the throat and larynx, providing a better overall view of the path through the larynx during microlaryngeal surgical procedures.
