  • Gait orthotic joint knee orthoses designed to support and assist the knee joint during normal motion in patients with unilateral hyperextension of the knee. These orthoses consist of prefabricated or custom-made devices, typically including soft cuffs encircling the thigh and leg, respectively, and an adjustable mechanism at the knee joint that limits the hyperextension of the joint to a few (e.g., five) degrees.
