Total lower-limb orthoses designed for maximum restriction of movements and/or total immobilization of the lower limb. These orthoses may consist of a variety of devices worn by the person, typically including a modified arm sling and some means (e.g., trunk or shoulder straps) for fixed attachment to the user\'s body. Total upper-limb immobilizer orthoses are used mainly for rehabilitation after injuries and/or trauma.
