  • Therapeutic wrist upper-limb orthoses designed for external modification of the characteristics of the wrist joint and hand while allowing very limited finger articulation movements. These orthoses typically consist of a long, lightweight plastic splint (known as platform splint) that runs from the tip of the fingers to the distal part of the forearm. This keeps the wrist in neutral position and restricts the movement of the fingers and thumb.
