Solutions and creams designed to apply on the throat to produce topical, non-metabolic effects. These solutions and creams may be based on natural oils (e.g., olive, glycerin, chamomile) or water (e.g., saline) solutions; they may also include additional components such herbal extracts and/or other chemical products (e.g., analgesics). Throat topical solutions/creams are available in liquid state for application of drops or as spray; they are also available as a cream or gel. They are formulated to moisturize and protect the throat, to alleviate sore throat, to prevent snoring, and/or to have local analgesic effects intended to reduce pain and/or to facilitate the introduction of instruments for examination of the throat or the respiratory tract.
