Molecular assay reagents intended to identify Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a bacterium of the family Pseudomonadaceae, by detecting specific genetic information of the deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) of the target bacteria. These bacteria are an etiologic agent of hospital-acquired (i.e., nosocomial) infections, mostly those occurring in the urinary tract and in wounds, especially in immunodepressed or debilitated patients.
