Immunoassay reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative analyses on a body fluid sample (e.g., serum) to determine circulating antibodies against streptokinase (i.e., antistreptokinase antibodies) produced by streptococcus pyogens. These antibodies are developed in response to, or as the result of, a preceding streptococcal infection and/or after streptokinase administration in patients who had suffered from myocardial infarction. Antistreptokinase antibodies may be associated with some autoimmune diseases, including rheumatism.
