Immunoassay reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative analyses on a body fluid sample (typically urine) to determine phencyclidine (PCP), a drug formerly used as a surgical anesthetic and that is still used in veterinary medicine. PCP has potent hallucinogenic properties, and it produces a state of euphoria, creating a high potential for abuse. Reagents for PCP determination in urine samples can detect drug metabolites for several days (typically more than seven) in frequent users.
