Immunoassay reagents intended to perform quantitative analyses on a body fluid sample (e.g., serum, plasma) to measure levels of nadolol (a non-selective beta-adrenergic antagonist used in cardiovascular disease to treat arrhythmias, angina pectoris, and hypertension, as well as migraine disorders and tremors) in the sample. Nadolol levels are seldom used in therapeutic drug monitoring as there is no close correlation between drug levels found in the blood and drug effects. These reagents are more typically used in the diagnosis of drug overdoses or drug-related toxicity.
