Immunoassay reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative analyses on a body fluid sample (typically serum) to determine a group (at least two) of proteolytic enzyme precursors with similar immunologic characteristics called group II pepsinogens. Group II pepsinogens are found in the chief and mucous neck cells of the oxyntic glands; they are also found in the cardiac and pyloric glands and in the Brunner\'s glands in the duodenum.
