Immunohematology reagents including antiglobulin serum with both antihuman immunoglobulin G and anticomplement activity (i.e., polyspecific antihuman serum). Polyspecific antiglobulin serum is obtained either by the injection of an animal with human globulin or through hybridoma technology. These reagents, unlike monospecific antiglobulin serum antibodies, may detect antibodies that bind complements to the red blood cells being tested.
