Serology reagents intended to detect and/or identify antigens or serum antibody titers to hepatitis viruses. The most common viruses that cause hepatitis belong to the families Picornaviridae (hepatitis A), Hepadnaviridae (hepatitis B), and Flaviviridae (hepatitis C). These viruses cause hepatitis, a disease characterized by jaundice and the increase of some enzymes in serum (e.g., aspartate aminotransferase).
