Immunohematology reagents used to characterize human blood in types A, B, AB, or O. There are two types of tests for ABO grouping: The forward grouping test in which cells from a person of an unknown group are reacted with known anti-A and anti-B sera and the reverse test (confirmatory) that involves testing the reaction of serum of the unknown type with cells of known A and B reactivity.
