Microbiology reagents used to assess the susceptibility of mycobacteria to antibacterial agents (e.g., antibiotics). Mycobacteria susceptibility tests are based on the determination of the inhibition of bacteria growth, using either direct methods (i.e., esting a patient\'s sample) or indirect methods (i.e., testing organisms isolated from the clinical specimen). These reagents may be specific either for manual tests or for automated analyzers with slow-growing bacteria capabilities.
