Immunoassay reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative analyses on a body fluid sample (e.g., serum, urine, cerebrospinal fluid) to determine agents (e.g., antigens, antibodies) developed by the organism that cause an immune response against its own tissue constituents (I.e., autoimmune diseases). Autoimmune diseases may be systemic (e.g., lupus erythematosus, rheumatism) or specific against a particular organ (e.g., thyroid gland).
