Immunoassay reagents intended to perform quantitative analyses on a body fluid sample (e.g., serum, plasma) to measure levels of digoxin (a cardiotonic glycoside that has positive inotropic and negative chronotropic activity and is used to control ventricular rate in atrial fibrillation as well as in the management of congestive heart failure) present in the sample. These reagents are used in tests intended to measure digoxin drug levels in patients undergoing treatment to determine the adequacy of digoxin dosages or to diagnose a drug overdose or drug-related toxicity.
