Clinical chemistry reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative chemical analysis of body fluids (typically in serum or plasma) to determine the level of glucose, a monosaccharide. High levels of glucose (hyperglycemia) are typically caused by diabetes mellitus, a group of metabolic disorders of carbohydrate metabolism in which glucose is underutilized; decreased levels of glucose (hypoglycemia) are found in several diseases in children and adults.
