Immunoassay reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative analyses of body fluids (typically serum) to determine immunoglobulin A (IgA), approximately 10% to 15% of total immunoglobulin in normal serum. IgA is also found as secretory IgA (it includes two molecules of IgA) in tears, saliva, milk, and sweat. Increased levels of IgA in serum are associated with respiratory, renal, and skin infections.
