  • Lower/upper-limb orthoses designed for maximum restriction of movements and/or total immobilization of an upper and/or lower limb using a pliable splint that resembles a ladder. These orthoses usually consist of moldable metallic wire covered with plastic (e.g., vinyl) that can be bent in many different configurations that are appropriate to immobilize an upper or lower limb.
