Anatomic models designed to resemble the head of a human body. These models consist of an accurate three-dimensional total or partial representation of the head, including the complete head or only the appropriate components of the head (e.g., scalp, hair, teeth) needed for the intended purpose. Head anatomic models are made of natural (e.g., hair, bones, wood, metals) and or synthetic (e.g., plastics, silicone rubber) materials or a combination of these. Head anatomic models are used for demonstration and learning the different structures of the head. They may be used in combination with other dedicated devices as components of training simulators for particular healthcare or dental examination, therapeutic, surgical, or postmortem procedures.
