Equipment designed for programming and testing hearing aids. This equipment consist of several units that typically include an audiometer, a microphone-based audio measuring system, a computer with a comprehensive hearing software that includes the hearing characteristics of the user, an interface unit to test the programmable hearing aid, and appropriate cables to match the components and also the hearing aid under test. Hearing aid programming/testing equipment is used for initial and/or periodic assessment and possible modifications of the parameters of the hearing aid (known as hearing-aid fitting) according to the user\'s needs.
