Central supply carts designed for organized storage and transportation of latex-free (i.e., hypoallergenic) materials from a central supply location to any area in a healthcare facility (e.g., a patient\'s bedside). These carts typically include an enclosed cabinet-like structure with drawers that may include waste receptacles and gown posts. The carts are usually loaded in a central location with the latex-free products, that may include glass or latex-free plastic syringes, neoprene or other latex-free gloves, medicines in latex-free vials, IV tubing without latex injection ports, neoprene anesthesia machine reservoir bags, and resuscitation bags with silicone rather than latex rubber valves. Signals indicating a latex allergy patient should be provided in the cart, including signs for the patient bed and patient room door, and bracelets to be placed around the patient\'s arm. Latex-free carts are used to meet the needs of patient and/or healthcare workers who have latex allergies.
