Carts designed for safe storage, transportation, and easy access of weights used for exercise. These carts usually consist of a heavy-duty metallic and/or plastic open structure with a tubular angled frame. They may include several shelves or vertical columns with a non-slip surface on which weights intended for exercise (e.g., dumbbells, barbells, fitness bars) are hung. Most carts include a set of large (e.g., 10 or 15 cm/4 or 6 inch) casters; some casters have mechanisms (e.g., pneumatic) to provide a cushioned transportation and may also include brakes. Exercise weight storage/transport carts are used in physical therapy and rehabilitation areas of healthcare facilities and in health and fitness centers.
