  • Devices consisting of a surface mounted on a supporting structure that is designed to display images obtained from projectors with a size and optical characteristics that allow the view of the images by a large number of people. These screens typically provide a flat or curved surface (e.g., matte white) frequently made of fabrics which size, aspect ratio (e.g., 1:1; 4:3; 16:9), and optical characteristics (e.g., uniformity, viewing angle, definition) are appropriate for a given location (e.g., auditorium, conference rooms, classrooms, home theater). Projection screens are used in healthcare facilities for many purposes, including analysis of medical procedures, education of staff and patients, review of clinical laboratory slides, and ophthalmology tests.
