Projectors designed to project on a screen a series of images from a video signal input. Video projectors may function in a conventional way by projecting the image on a screen placed in front of the video projector or magnifying the image internally in the video projector and projecting it on a screen that is integral to the set (rear-projection). Video projectors, both front and rear projection, may use one of several different technologies such as liquid crystal diode (LCD), digital micromirror devices (DMID), light emitting diodes (LED), or, less frequently, cathode ray tube (CRT). The projectors may also include a screen. Dedicated video projectors that are intended for standard resolution video signals as well as for high definition signals, both 720 line (1280 x 720 pixels) and full high definition 1080 line (1920 x 1080 pixels) projectors are available.
