Microbiology reagents impregnated in one or more areas of a paper disc or strip (i.e., reagent discs or strips) used in laboratory analyses to assess the susceptibility of bacteria to antibacterial agents (e.g., antibiotics). Susceptibility tests are typically based on the determination of the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of antibacterial agents in an inoculated agar plate on which there is no visible growth of the bacteria.
