Tubing sets designed for delivering intravenous fluids between the primary administration line of an intravenous administration set and an intravenous catheter. Extension sets are typically used to elongate an intravenous administration set in cases where the length of the administration set is insufficient to reach the patient. These sets include appropriate connectors (e.g., luer lock, needleless connectors) at their proximal and distal ends for connection to administration sets and catheters and may incorporate additional features such as clamps, filters, injection ports, manifolds, stop-cocks, and/or Y-sites.
