Surgical dilators designed for mechanically augmenting the caliber of the internal lumen of the ureters. These surgical dilators are usually, hollow, cylindrical, handheld instruments with a thin, tapered oblique distal end to facilitate placement; they are usually coated with hydrophilic materials to facilitate introduction and use.
