Devices designed for automated removal (i.e., doffing) of disposable shoe covers. These devices typically consist of a machine that automatically extracts (e.g., by suctioning) without manual touching the shoe covers; the device is attached to a container for temporary storage of the disposed covers. Shoe cover automated removers are used mainly in hospital or other health care facility areas (e.g., treatment, clean and operating rooms; clinical laboratories) where a high volume of covers should be quickly and easily removed. The removers are intended to take-off shoe covers for hygienic purposes and/or personal protection. They are usually available as stand-alone units or units to be placed attached to a wall.
