Software designed to capture quantitative test results from analysis of body fluids intended to detect one or more of a group of drugs with a high potential of abuse. This software is intended to work only with one or a few models of drug-of-abuse systems that should include urine sampling devices that prevent tampering and an automated sample analyzer; the software is usually capable of managing additional results from laboratory and breath tests (e.g., alcohol), and/or manual data from physical examinations. The software package that controls the process is typically operated through an internet connection. Drug-of-abuse screening test software is used to operate drug-of-abuse screening systems located in occupational health facilities that perform tests for employee screening as well as for use in emergency situations when use of drugs-of-abuse may be involved.
