Dental ovens designed for heating obturators filled with a gutta percha point at a pre-established temperature. These ovens typically consist of a desktop oven with a heating chamber and one or more holders intended to place the endodontic obturators filled with the gutta percha points. The ovens also include electric heating elements, controls for the heating elements and obturator size, and visual and/or sound indicators to show the status of the process; they may also include a cleaning mode using dedicated products and an appropriate temperature for cleaning the heating chamber. Gutta percha point dental ovens are used for endodontic (i.e., root canal) procedures in dental offices.
