Molecular assay reagents intended to identify deletions or duplications of the majority of genes known to be associated with cardiomyopathies, a collection of cardiac diseases characterized by defects in myocardia (i.e., cardiac muscle). Genetic variants at multiple loci have been associated with various forms of cardiomyopathy (e.g., dilated cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, restrictive cardiomyopathy). These reagents are intended to detect deletions and duplications in the majority of cardiomyopathy-associated loci simultaneously.
