Molecular assay reagents intended to identify variants in the majority of genes known to be associated with connective tissue disorders, a collection of conditions caused by structural or functional defects in one or more connective tissue constituents (e.g., collagen, elastin). Genetic variants at multiple loci have been associated with various connective tissue disorders. These reagents are intended to detect various types of genetic changes (e.g., deletions, duplications, insertions, single nucleotide polymorphisms) in the majority of connective tissue disorder-associated loci simultaneously.
